About Me


Born on 9 February 2006, Bayanda Walaza is a South African sprinter. He won silver in the 4x100m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics and became the first South African to win an Olympic medal while still in high school. Walaza also claimed gold in the 100m and 200m at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships. He set a personal best of 10.13 seconds in the 100m at the South Africa U20 Championships in 2024.
